By The Spotlight StaffJuly 25, 2024
Malakai Black & Buddy Matthews' AEW Contract Status

Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews have not been seen on AEW television for several weeks. Black last competed on the July 7th episode of Rampage, where he and Brody King defeated The Premier Athletes. Matthews last competed on the June 15th episode of Collision, where House of Black defeated Bang Bang Gang.

PWInsider has provided an update on Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews’ contract status with All Elite Wrestling. They stated that Black’s current AEW contract will run through 2025. PWInsider added that Matthews signed a new deal with Tony Khan’s company last February.

“Malakai Black is currently signed to a deal that takes him into 2025. There’s been numerous claims over the last year or so that Black was exiting the company, but it’s never been correct.

Buddy Matthews signed a new deal with the company this past February. We have not confirmed the length of the deal.”
