One-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Liv Morgan, has suffered a dislocated shoulder during a match against Kairi Sane on WWE RAW. The injury occurred after a face-first fall, prompting immediate medical attention and referee stoppage, with Sane declared the winner. Michael Cole later confirmed the dislocation, noting recovery could take 12 to 16 weeks, though it may be shorter if the injury isn’t severe.
PWInsider reported that, “It is 100% a legitimate injury. For those who have asked with conspiracy theories that this was a way to write her out for an outside project, no, it was not. Morgan was checked out by WWE medical personnel as soon as she was brought backstage.”
This isn’t Liv Morgan’s first shoulder injury; she previously missed time in 2023 due to a torn labrum. Her injury throws multiple storylines into chaos, as she’s heavily featured in ongoing angles with The Judgment Day, Dominik Mysterio, Roxanne Perez, and Women’s World Champion IYO SKY. A planned segment with Nikki Bella was also scrapped, which may have led to a Bella Twins return. With Morgan sidelined, WWE will likely need to make major adjustments to RAW’s ongoing narratives and the Women’s Tag Team division.
