Liv Morgan last competed on the May 12th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. In that show, Liv and her tag team partner Raquel Rodriguez defended their Women’s Tag Team Championships against Bayley and Dakota Kai. During the match, Liv Morgan suffered a shoulder injury.

PWInsider reported that the 28-year-old star has suffered a torn rotator cuff during the commercial break of the match. They also noted that Liv Morgan’s injury much worsened following a top-rope spot. She is scheduled to undergo surgery and will be out of action for the rest of the year.

Last week on SmackDown, Raquel Rodriguez vacated the Women’s Tag Team Titles due to Liv’s injury. Rodriguez teamed up with Shotzi this past Monday Night RAW. A fatal four-way tag team match will take place next Monday to determine the new champions.

Dakota Kai also suffered a torn ACL during the tag team match. She successfully underwent surgery on Tuesday.

We wish both Liv Morgan and Dakota Kai a fast and full recovery. Stay tuned with The Spotlight for more news.
