Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho are slated to wrestle Ricky Starks and Big Bill for the AEW World Tag Team Titles on December 30th at Worlds End pay-per-view. However, Omega won’t be able to compete at the show.
The former AEW World Champion posted a photo on a hospital bed and announced that he would be out of action indefinitely.
“I can’t really sugar coat this. I’m out indefinitely. I tried to keep pushing past the pain for as long as I could until it became too much. Luckily doctors caught me when they did. I’ll be here so in the mean time, please enjoy wrestling!”

Sean Ross of Fightful Select reported that Kenny Omega had been dealing with an illness throughout the last week. He added that Omega wrestled Ethan Page on December 5th at the AEW Collision tapings despite being ill.
Omega was hospitalized, and doctors informed him that he was diagnosed with diverticulitis.
Diverticulitis is the inflammation or infection of small pouches called diverticula that can form along the intestine.
We wish Kenny Omega a speedy recovery.
