Jon Moxley Leaves AEW To Join Rehab Treatment

On Twitter, AEW President Tony Khan revealed to fans that the former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley has entered himself into an inpatient rehab program for alcohol.

Jon Moxley has allowed me to share with you that he is entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program. Jon is a beloved member of the AEW family. We all stand with him and Renee, and all of his family and friends, as he shifts his focus to recovery.

On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley is set to face Orange Cassidy for the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. The winner of this match is predetermined as Moxley. Then Moxley is schedule to face Bryan Danielson in the tournament final at AEW Full Gear.

However, after this announcement there is no report on how AEW will handle Moxley’s spot in the tournament.
