Last night’s SmackDown took place at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. John Cena appeared on the final segment of the show and announced that he would face Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa in a 2-on-1 Handicap match at Fastlane. The Bloodline then came to the ring and attacked Cena. Solo tried to hit a Splash on Cena through the announcers’ table. LA Knight’s music hit, and he came to save Cena. The Megastar then signed the contract to become Cena’s tag partner at Fastlane.
The 16-time World Champion issued an open challenge after SmackDown went off the air. The challenge was accepted by the NXT North American Champion “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio. John Cena picked up the victory with an Attitude Adjustment.
World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins faced the Intercontinental Champion Gunther in a dark match. The Visionary won the match with a Curb Stomp. However, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci attacked Rollins soon after the three count.
