Last night, WWE held two live events instead of airing Monday Night RAW. One live event took place in Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY. You can read the full results of the event by clicking here.

In the MSG event, Gunther defended his Intercontinental Championship against Santos Escobar, Kofi Kingston, Madcap Moss, and Shinsuke Nakamura in a Ladder Match.

At one point during the match, Kofi hit a double stomp on Escobar from the top of the ladder. Unfortunately, Kofi landed on Escobar’s right knee. Escobar immediately clutched his knee. Following the match, the referee and a backstage official helped Santos Escobar to walk to the backstage area.

PWInsider reported that Santos Escobar isn’t suffered an injury and is fine.

“For the many of you who have asked, we are told that WWE’s Santos Escobar is OK after taking a hard bump during the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at Madison Square Garden.

As we noted in my live report, WWE medical checked on him immediately and he walked out under his own power with Jamie Noble assisting after the match.”

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
