Naomi and Sasha Banks became the Women’s Tag Team Champions at night two of WrestleMania 38. A month later, both women walked out from WWE after a creative meeting with Vince McMahon. Naomi and Banks were then stripped from the titles and the company held a women’s tag team championship tournament to crown new champions.

Earlier this month, Sasha Banks made her NJPW debut as Mercedes Mone. Although, Naomi hasn’t signed with any wrestling promotion since walked out from WWE.

Fightful Select reported that Naomi’s WWE contract was set to expire at the time she decided to walk out from the company. However, the former women’s champion has expressed her interest to sign a contract extension before walking out.

Fightful noted that Naomi was about to receive the biggest money contract of her career before leaving the company. Fightful further noted that Naomi has made positive contact with WWE since May of last year. The backstage officials are confident that she will return to the company.

This past Monday on RAW, the Usos announced that there will be a Roman Reigns acknowledgment ceremony taking place next week. They said that every generation of The Bloodline will participate in the event. Therefore, Naomi could return to either next week’s RAW or the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
