Edge had been feuded with Judgement Day since last year and it ended in April of this year. WWE Hall of Famer competed at WrestleMania 39, where he defeated “The Demon” Finn Balor inside Hell in a Cell.

The Rated R Superstar last competed in a World Heavyweight Championship tournament on the May 12th episode of SmackDown, where he faced AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat match. Many fans expected Edge will become the new World Heavyweight Champion because he never lost the title. However, that didn’t happen.

Today, Scotiabank Arena announced that Edge will appear on the August 18th episode of SmackDown in Toronto, Canada. AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, Bianca Belair, Asuka, and The Usos also advertised for the show.

“JUST ANNOUNCED! The Rated-R Superstar Edge (@EdgeRatedR) will be live in Toronto for Friday Night Smackdown August 18!”
