WWE held a Saturday Night’s main event in Stockton, California last night. The company advertised a six-man tag team match for the main event. Drew McIntyre was supposed to team up with The New Day to face The Usos and Solo Sikoa. However, McIntyre was replaced by Braun Strowman in the bout. You can read the results of the event by clicking here.

PWInsider reported that WWE made the decision to replace McIntyre with Braun Strowman due to he has been very ill with bad food poisoning.

The word making the rounds is that McIntyre has been very ill with bad food poisoning but gutted his way through Smackdown (including getting an IV treatment to help him get through the show) but the company made the decision to pull him from the road so he could rest. They tapped Braun Strowman to make the Smackdown live events this weekend in McIntyre’s place, surprising fans with Braun’s first live events since returning to the company.

Drew McIntyre has been advertised for the Extreme Rules premium live event and will face Karrion Kross in a Strap Match as planned.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
