Curtis Blaydes Issues Statement After First-Round KO Loss To Tom Aspinall At UFC 304

Last night, Tom Aspinall (15-3) defended his interim UFC Heavyweight Championship against Curtis Blaydes (18-5-1NC) in the co-main event of UFC 304 in Manchester, England. The fight didn’t go as Blaydes expected. The 33-year-old was knocked out by Aspinall at 1:00 in the first round.

On Sunday, Curtis Blaydes posted an Instagram story and apologized to fans for his loss.

“Sorry guys, I got greedy when I touched him early and threw out the amazing gameplay that my coaches Vinnie Lopez Cody Donovan came up with that would’ve worked I’m sure of it. No excuses Tom was on point tonight 😪 I know this isn’t the end of my journey but damnit, I know I’m better than tonight’s performance. I appreciate all the support truly it’s been an eye opening experience to have so many ppl rocking with me🤙”
