Last night’s WWE RAW took place at the TD Garden in Boston, MA. The show featured the return of John Cena as well as three Hall of Famers.
In the third hour of RAW, John Cena came to the ring to address the fans. The United States Champion Austin Theory then interrupted Cena and offered him a US Title match at WrestleMania 39.
The Cenation Leader initially rejected Theory’s offer and stated that he and the fans don’t care about Theory. John Cena added that Theory isn’t ready for a big match yet. Theory then said that Cena always says “Never Give Up” but he gives up. Cena then accepted Theory’s challenge with a warning. Cena said “Remember this moment. You just made the biggest mistake of your life.”
The 16-time World Champion then introduced Cody Rhodes to the fans after the segment with Austin Theory. John Cena then hugged Rhodes and whispered something. The moments like these are called “passing the torch” in pro wrestling.
On Twitter, The American Nightmare retweeted the video and revealed what Cena told him.
