Cody Rhodes was unable to defeat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 40. Rhodes was then involved in a trilogy with Brock Lesnar. Their rivalry ended last month at SummerSlam with Lesnar endorsing The American Nightmare.
In the past weeks, Cody Rhodes competed against Judgment Day members on RAW. Rhodes didn’t have a match at Payback. Instead, he appeared on The Grayson Waller Effect and brought Jey Uso back to the red brand.
Last night, WWE held Saturday’s SuperShow in Palm Springs, California. You can read the results of the show by clicking here. Cody Rhodes appeared on MVP’s “The VIP Lounge” and subsequently had a Street Fight against Dominik Mysterio.

Omos interfered in the match and he tossed Cody Rhodes inside the ring. Dominik then delivered a Frog Splash, but Rhodes kicked out at two. In the end, The American Nightmare picked up the victory with a Cross Rhodes. Omos’ interference indicates that he will start a storyline with Cody Rhodes on WWE television.
