Last year, Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 where he defeated Seth Rollins. The feud between Rhodes and Rollins ended at the Hell in a Cell PLE last June.
Earlier this year, American Nightmare returned to WWE in the Men’s Royal Rumble match after a few months away from the squared circle due to an injury. Rhodes was then involved in a high-profile feud with Roman Reigns following his Royal Rumble win. However, he was unable to defeat Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39.
Cody Rhodes has a great vision for his career. Therefore, he may be following in the footsteps of The Rock, Batista, and John Cena someday.
Fightful Select reported that Cody Rhodes held a meeting during WrestleMania weekend in Los Angeles regarding potential roles in film and television. Sources told Fightful that it was a discussion about Cody Rhodes being linked to or interested in playing the role of Johnny Cage in the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie. Also, Rhodes has an interest to involved in the upcoming Zelda movie.
