The first episode of AEW Collision kicked off with CM Punk at the United Center in Chicago, IL. In the promo, Punk stated that he’s tired of being a nice guy. Punk said that he never fit in somewhere more in his life than in All Elite Wrestling. Punk thanked the fans and said that “I couldn’t have done all this without all of you.” Punk then said that “There are some people that hate me for the same reasons you all love me.” Voice of the Voiceless said that some people hate him because he’s the truth and the truth is painful.
The former AEW World Champion then took a shot at Young Buck by saying, “Cheer me, boo me, you all do it because you know I’m right. You call me whatever you want. You know what David Zaslav calls me? One bill Phil. That’s because I’m the one genuine article in a world of counterfeit Bucks.”
CM Punk said that the King is back. He said that he will never change. Punk then said the following to the people who think Punk owed them an apology.
“And then there’s the people who think they’re owed an apology. I’ve grown older and wiser in my years. Sometimes it’s better to be the bigger man. If you feel you need an apology, I’m sorry that the only people softer than you are the wrestlers you like.”
CM Punk then showed a reg bag that contain AEW World Championship. Punk said that the championship belongs to him until someone defeats him.

- Andrade El Idolo defeated Buddy Matthews.
- Miro defeated Tony Nese.
- Skye Blue and Willow Nightingale defeated Toni Storm and Ruby Soho in a Tag Team match.
- CM Punk and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) defeated Jay White, Juice Robinson & Samoa Joe in a Six-Man Tag Team match.
