Last September, CM Punk and The Elite were involved in a huge brawl during the All Out post-show media scrum. As a result, Punk and The Elite are on different shows. The two sides didn’t reconcile their beef yet.
Recently, Adam Page, Kenny Omega, and Young Bucks decided to re-sign with All Elite Wrestling. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, all of them said that they wanted to grow the company. However, The Elite didn’t want to work with CM Punk.
Last night’s AEW Collison took place at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The House Of Black defended their AEW World Trios Titls against CM Punk and FTR in the main event. Samoa Joe put a Sleeper Hold on Punk in the closing moment of the match. Brody King then delivered a Lariat on Dax Harwood to retain the titles.
CM Punk addressed fans after AEW Collison went off the air. Punk took a shot at “Hangman” Adam Page during the speech. He said that Page can’t sell merchandise and increase ratings.
“Look at this ‘Carolina is Hangman Country’… Earlier today I went to a local supermarket and I figured out why they call him Hangman. It’s because the pegs in the toy aisle are full of Hangman action figures because nobody wants to buy them. He’s a peg warmer, unlike me who moves merchandise, and pops ratings and sells toys.”
