Earlier this month, AEW President Tony Khan fired CM Punk from All Elite Wrestling after investigating the All In incident. WWE President Nick Khan was recently asked about the possibility of Punk joining the company. Khan gave a professional answer without saying yes or no.
Meanwhile, CM Punk resumed his duties at CFFC. Punk appeared on this past Friday’s CFFC 125 event, where he did the commentary along with John Morgan. The Second City Saint and his broadcast partner joked about backstage altercation multiple times during the event. At one point, Punk teased that he would return to WWE at Survivor Series.
Haus of Wrestling reported that CM Punk has no plans to sue Tony Khan over the termination from AEW. They also noted that “Punk is looking to avoid any further litigation and move on with his life.”
They added that the buzz surrounding CM Punk becoming a free agent isn’t as high as when Cody Rhodes became a free agent in early 2022. But several sources told Haus of Wrestling that “they saw WWE and Punk working together as a possibility if good business can be done.”
