Chris Jericho Comments On Potential WWE Return

Chris Jericho Comments On Potential WWE Return

Chris Jericho has been with All Elite Wrestling since the company was launched in 2019. Jericho’s contract with AEW is set to expire in December 2025.

In an interview with ComicBook Nation, Jericho was asked if he would like to return to WWE now that Vince McMahon is no longer in charge of the company.

“I mean, I enjoyed working there in the past, and I could probably work there in the future as well, so we’ll see. To me, business is business. But I enjoy working with AEW; I enjoy all that we’ve accomplished since day one, especially now with the new TV deal. We did what we set out to do, which was to change the course of wrestling history, and Tony [Khan] and I and all of us have done that, so it’s a pretty cool kind of a f–k you to everybody that didn’t think we could do it.”

Earlier this month, AEW announced that it had renewed the media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery worth approximately $185 million. Jericho said he had no reason to leave AEW following the new TV deal.

“Now seeing this television deal, with the amount of money that we got for it, it’s like, We’re on our way, man. We’re not going anywhere. So, there’s really no reason for me to go anywhere else right now. I enjoy working for the Khan family, and I enjoy working for AEW, so I’m happy.”
