Charlotte Flair & Andrade El Idolo Got Married, Charlotte's WWE Return Date Announced

Congratulations to Charlotte Flair and Andrade El Idolo, who married yesterday in Mexico. They exchanged vows in front of 160 friends and family members at Hacienda Mi Ranchito in Torreón. The couple reportedly has dated since 2018, and they got engaged in 2020.

Several current and former WWE superstars attended the ceremony, including Apollo Crews, Finn Balor, Rey Mysterio and Lina Fanene, also known as Nia Jax Nia Jax’s appearance at the ceremony was surprising because she and Charlotte had a shoot fight during a match on Monday Night RAW last year. It seems they have become friends again after the time has passed.

According to People magazine, Charlotte Flair was supported by eight bridesmaids, including Charlotte’s sister, her sister-in-law, Andrade’s sister and former WWE superstar Nia Jax. Groomsmen were Andrade’s eight uncles.

“Flair, 36, was supported by eight bridesmaids — who wore champagne-colored dresses designed by Revelry — including her sister, sister-in-law, Andrade’s sister, and fellow WWE wrestler Nia Jax. Andrade’s eight uncles were groomsmen, and the family affair continued with Flair’s father, wrestling icon Ric Flair, walking her down the aisle.“

Charlotte was written off from WWE television after losing to Ronda Rousey in an “I Quit” match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Backlash premium live event. Later, WWE announced a storyline injury angle for her absence during The Bump. WWE stated that Charlotte has a fractured radius and is out of action indefinitely.

UPDATE: @MsCharlotteWWE will be out of action indefinitely as a result of injuries suffered in her match at #WMBacklash at the hands of @RondaRousey, @WWETheBump has reported. https://t.co/hKVzfaunBH

There’s no report about when she will return to the squared circle. However, WWE has advertised Charlotte Flair for the July 15th edition of Friday Night SmackDown in Orlando, Florida. Intercontinental Champion Ricochet will defend his title against Sami Zayn on July 15th SmackDown. This could be a dark match. Drew McIntyre and The New Day also advertised for the show.

Sometimes WWE falsely advertises superstars for the shows. Recently, WWE removed Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey from Money in the Bank after being advertised for the show. However, we hope Charlotte Flair will return to WWE before SummerSlam on July 30th.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
