WWE King & Queen of the Ring premium live event was supposed to take place last month at the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. However, a month before the PLE, the company announced that Night of Champions was taking place instead of King & Queen of the Ring.

The company will go to the Kingdom for the next PLE later this year. However, King & Queen of the Ring won’t be taking place in 2023. Fightful Select reported that their sources heard nothing about the King & Queen of the Ring premium live event. They also noted that WWE is keeping the event “in their back pocket” for a future Saudi Arabia show.

Last time Xavier Woods and Zelina Vega were crowned as the King & Queen at the 2021 Crown Jewel. However, WWE’s creative team had no follow-up plans for Woods and Vega after the show. They weren’t referred to as King & Queen a few months later.
