WWE received a huge backlash from fans after Vince McMahon heavily being involved with RAW’s creative team. McMahon changed the script several times before and during the broadcast. As a result, the “#FireVinceMcMahon” has been trending on social media throughout the week.
Therefore, Triple H appeared in the second hour of SmackDown to address the fans. Michael Cole said that Triple H is the man who runs the place. However, it seems like McMahon still has the final say.
PWInsider reported that Vince McMahon didn’t come to the Gorilla position for last night’s SmackDown but “reviewed creative plans remotely.” McMahon also made some minor changes to the script.
A source told PWInsider that the changes were “nothing out of the ordinary” when compared to Triple H running creative team. The backstage morale was high on SmackDown due to Vince McMahon’s absence.
