Austin Theory attempted to cash in his MITB contract several times after winning it at WWE Money in the Bank premium live event in July. However, each time Theory was unable to cash in his contract.
This past Monday on RAW, Seth Rollins issued an open challenge for the United States Championship. Mustafa Ali appeared on the screen and answered the challenge. However, Ali was unable to come to the ring because he was attacked by Bobby Lashley. Lashley then accepted the challenge and he brutally attacked Rollins before the bell rang. Austin Theory then cashed in his MITB contract on Rollins but failed to win the title.
Theory was the first superstar to cash in his MITB contract on a mid-card title in WWE history. Previously, John Cena, Damien Sandow, Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman failed to capture the world championship after cashed in the MITB contract.
Yesterday, Baron Corbin welcomed Theory to the special faction.

Today, Austin Theory posted a video clip of matches that he wrestled on the main roster and stated that he will never stop.
