Edge and AJ Styles haven’t wrestled in a singles match. However, both superstars had a brief interaction in a 2020 men’s Royal Rumble match.
During a Q&A session on Fightful Select, Sean Ross was asked about the possibility of Edge facing AJ Styles at this year’s WrestleMania. He stated that the match has been pitched for the event.
In a recent interview with TV Insider, AJ Styles talked about facing Edge at WrestleMania 38. Styles said,
“I had the opportunity to wrestle The Undertaker at WrestleMania. It was something I didn’t think I was going to get the chance to do. I was jealous of guys before who had the opportunity to do it. Edge is another of those guys. I didn’t think I would have this opportunity,
I’d really like to see it happen. But I’m a team player. Whatever comes up when it comes to WrestleMania, as long as I’m there, I’m happy.”
