AEW Uses WWE's Intellectual Property To Promote Sting's Retirement Match At Revolution

Last October, Sting announced that he will be retiring from pro wrestling next year at AEW Revolution. This past Wednesday, Tony Schiavone announced that the Revolution pay-per-view will take place on Sunday, March 3rd, at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The Icon has competed in numerous wrestling promotions throughout almost forty years of his career. Among them, Sting had a great run in WCW and TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.

All Elite Wrestling recently unveiled the official poster for AEW Revolution. The poster featured the legendary Sting. The company has used photos of Sting’s various gimmicks, including his WCW days, in the background of the poster.

WWE purchased WCW’s intellectual property in 2001. It seems like Tony Khan got permission from WWE to use these photos.

Tony Khan has a good relationship with a lot of promotions, except WWE. Khan recently took several shots at Vince McMahon, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels.
