AEW Star Killswitch Hospitalized With Pneumonia In Both Lungs

On September 27, Austin Matelson, known as Killswitch in All Elite Wrestling, was hospitalized. According to Fightful Select, Matelson’s fiancée found him collapsed this past Friday.

After being rushed to the hospital, doctors discovered that Matelson’s blood oxygen level had dropped to below 80%, and he was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs. Doctors also discovered that Matelson was days away from permanent lung damage. He has been on oxygen since Friday and is expected to recover within a month.

The 39-year-old last competed on Sunday, August 25 at AEW All In.
