AEW Star Announces Departure From Company

Fuego Del Sol competed on AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation during the pandemic era. Del Sol then wrestled on the August 13th, 2021 episode of AEW Rampage for the TNT Championship against Miro. He was unable to win the title. However, AEW offered a contract to Del Sol following the match.

The 27-year-old last competed on the February 20th episode of AEW Dark. In that show, Del Sol lost to Juice Robinson in a singles match.

Yesterday, Fuego Del Sol posted a video clip on Twitter and announced that his contract with AEW expires on July 1st. Del Sol added that he will be a free agent from July 1st onward and has been medically cleared to compete. He thanked everyone in All Elite Wrestling for supporting him over the past few years.

“Thank you AEW.

Though this chapter is coming to a close, this is just the beginning for Fuego Del Sol.

Now accepting bookings any and everywhere!”
