Seth Rollins is one of the biggest superstars in WWE right now. Rollins joined WWE in 2010 and was assigned to WWE’s development territory “Florida Championship Wrestling”. In 2012, WWE revamped FCW into NXT. Rollins then made his debut on the second episode of NXT.

Rollins accomplished a lot of things since his main roster debut in November 2012. He is one of the most decorated superstars on the roster. The Visionary held WWE, Universal, United States, International, and RAW Tag Team championships in the company. He also went to history as the first-ever NXT Champion.

The finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 27 at Night of Champions, where Seth Rollins will face AJ Styles. Rollins will be making history in Night of Champions as the first superstar to compete in three inaugural championship matches.

Inaugural NXT Championship: Seth Rollins vs. Jinder Mahal

In 2012, Dusty Rhodes announced an eight-man single-elimination tournament called “Gold Rush Tournament” to crown the inaugural NXT Champion. Four superstars from NXT and four superstars from WWE main roster competed in the tournament. Seth Rollins and Jinder Mahal made it to the final. Rollins became the inaugural NXT Champion on the August 29th, 2012 episode of NXT. He held the championship for 133 days.

Inaugural Universal Championship: Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor

In 2016, Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley introduced the Universal Championship exclusive for the red brand. Seth Rollins was automatically qualified for the final match. Rollins’ opponent was determined by two fatal four matches. Finn Balor won the first fatal four-way match and Roman Reigns won the second fatal four-way match. Balor advanced to the final by defeating Roman Reigns. “The Demon” Finn Balor became the inaugural Universal Champion by defeating Seth Rollins at SummerSlam in 2016. However, Balor’s title reign was limited to a day as he suffered a shoulder injury during the match.

Inaugural World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles

Triple H introduced the World Heavyweight Championship on the April 24th episode of Monday Night RAW. At the Backlash press conference, the Chief Content Officer announced two triple threat matches for RAW and SmackDown to determine the final two competitors. Seth Rollins advanced to the final of the WHC tournament from the red brand. AJ Styles was qualified for the final from the blue brand side. The Inaugural World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned next week.
