Last January, Shinsuke Nakamura faced the WWE Hall of Famer Great Muta at NOAH The New Year 2023. Nakamura didn’t appear on WWE television since November. However, he competed on WWE Live Events through January.
The former Intercontinental Champion last competed on the January 22nd WWE Sunday Stunner Live Event in Binghamton, New York, where he teamed with Braun Strowman and Madcap Moss to defeat Imperium in a Six-Man Tag Team match.
Last week, WWE announced that King of Strong Style will return on tonight’s SmackDown. As of this writing, the company didn’t announce Nakamura’s opponent yet.
Fightful Select reported that Shinsuke Nakamura will start a storyline with Karrion Kross on tonight’s show. The company already prepared a tarot card for Nakamura. Kross typically uses tarot card as a symbol of starting feuds.
“As rumored, Shinsuke Nakamura is scheduled to start a program with Karrion Kross on Friday’s Smackdown. WWE had a Nakamura tarot card produced for it.”
