Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy were supposed to face The Young Bucks and Jurassic Express in a triple threat ladder match for the AEW World Tag Team Titles on AEW Dynamite last Wednesday. However, AEW pulled The Hardys from the match due to Jeff Hardy’s DUI arrest.

Prior to Jeff Hardy’s incident, The Hardys were also scheduled to face Dragon Lee and Dralistico at Triplemania 30 this past Saturday in Tijuana. Jeff Hardy was replaced by Johnny Hardy (John Morrison) to team up with Matt Hardy. However, the match was won by Dragon Lee and Dralistico.

Fightful Select reported that Matt Hardy had suffered a knee injury following a tag team match at Triplemania 30. He also noted that the severity of the injury is unknown.

Matt Hardy also was banged up after his AAA TripleMania match. We’re told that he had some major swelling on his knee, but haven’t heard if there’s any update or about the severity.

Several AEW wrestlers are now sidelined with injuries. Recently, AEW World Champion CM Punk suffered a foot injury and underwent surgery. Also, Adam Cole, Buddy Mathews and Bryan Danielson were out of action with injuries. Danielson will appear on tonight’s AEW Dynamite to address his status for Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 26th and next week’s Blood and Guts Dynamite.

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
