Last September, CM Punk made huge headlines after he and The Elite were involved in a backstage fight. The fight happened during Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland’s time in the All Out press conference.
The Elite made their return at Full Gear pay-per-view following suspension. However, CM Punk still remains absent from AEW television due to a triceps injury that he suffered during the match against Jon Moxley at All Out.
There were a lot of rumors circulated on social media regarding Punk’s current status. A recent report stated that CM Punk is still under contract with AEW and is getting paid. However, Punk is willing to move from AEW but the decision is in Tony Khan’s hands.
CM Punk is teasing that he expects to return to WWE. The former AEW World Champion posted a photo of himself in his early days in the WWE career on an Instagram story.
